About Take Flight Wellness
At Take Flight Wellness, we believe that healing is a journey, and everyone deserves a safe place to land and the support to soar. That’s why our mission is rooted in helping individuals and families spread their wings and heal their minds, one step at a time.
Founded December 2024 by Jessica Mayfield-Ashwood, LMSW, Take Flight Wellness provides compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for children, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental and behavioral health challenges. Our licensed clinicians offer individual, group, and family therapy with flexible weekly, biweekly, or monthly scheduling to meet clients where they are.
In addition to therapy, we offer supervision for limited licensed social workers, engaging mental health workshops for schools and organizations, and planned mental health outings that bring wellness into real life.
As a self-published children’s book author, Jessica extends her therapeutic mission through storytelling. Her books, Amethyst Has a Worry and A Child’s Guide to Handling Anxiety, offer children, caregivers, and educators approachable tools to understand big emotions and build emotional resilience. Her literature is used in classrooms, therapy settings, and homes to spark meaningful conversations and empower young minds.

Through trauma-informed therapy, community engagement, and mental health education, we empower children and adults to build emotional resilience, rewrite limiting narratives, and take flight toward a more balanced life.

A world where children feel seen, adults feel supported, and communities are strengthened through connection, compassion, and collective healing.
