Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find the answers to some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) at Take Flight Wellness LLC

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy may be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, stressed, or wanting support with emotions, relationships, or life changes. You don’t have to be in crisis to start therapy, many people come simply to gain clarity, coping tools, or a better understanding of themselves.

If you’re curious about therapy or wondering if support could help, that’s often a sign it’s worth exploring. A consultation can be a low-pressure way to ask questions and see if therapy feels like a good fit for you.

Do you offer in-person, virtual, or hybrid sessions?

Currently,  I only provide virtual sessions.

Do you work with individuals, couples, families, or youth?

I primarily work with individuals ages 8+ who struggle with anxiety, trauma, and daily stressors. I am not currently accepting couples or families.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, typically for the first 4–6 sessions, before transitioning to biweekly sessions as appropriate. New clients are not scheduled less than biweekly to ensure consistency and therapeutic progress.

What happens if I am late or miss a session?

Sessions may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice without penalty. Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $60 late cancellation fee.

There is a 15-minute grace period at the start of each session. If you have not joined or responded to outreach within 25 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session will be canceled and a late fee will be charged, unless there is an emergency.

After three consecutive missed sessions or no-shows, standing appointments may be canceled and probationary scheduling may be implemented. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may result in termination of services.

How long do clients typically stay in therapy?

Clients begin to see noticeable progress within the first 3-6 months of consistent therapy and may continue maintenance sessions for however long they choose and at the discretion of the therapist.

What is expected of me as a client?

Clients are encouraged to attend sessions consistently, communicate openly, and engage in the process both during and between sessions. There’s no “right” way to do therapy. Showing up honestly is enough.

Do you provide crisis services or emergency support?

Take Flight Wellness does not provide crisis services or emergency support directly and refer out for resources.
